The count down to Champion's Centennial Celebration has now started. On May 31, 2010, a bountiful potluck supper was held in our Community Hall to celebrate Champion's 99th birthday.
Our local 4H Club was in charge of the supper and they did a superb job.
Duncan MacDougall was the capable M.C.
With Stirling Smith as host, the game "Are you smarter than a 4H'er" was enjoyed with 4 'seasoned' Championites being matched up with a 4H member. Sev Pasolli with Walker Smith, Roger Smith with MacKenzie Perley, Gary Flitton with Kelso Cross and Racille Ellis with Abby MacDougall were the competitors. The game proved that the 'old folks' didn't know everything about Champion's history.
